Limassol – Chelco VAT Ltd staff and guests bade farewell to departing colleague Yiannis Christofi on Wednesday night, 11 September, at To Tsingeli Tavern at Ayios Athanasios.

Yiannis, a 14 year veteran, first with Chelco Management Services as an Accountant and then at Chelco VAT Ltd as a VAT Compliance Officer, chose to pursue different professional avenues.

There were mixed feelings throughout an admittedly emotional evening. Yiannis was sent off as a valued colleague and friend with everyone wishing him the best in his new endeavours. On the other hand, no one wanted to see him go.

Similarly, Yiannis said that leaving was the most difficult decision he ever had to make in his life.

To Tsingeli Tavern is nestled in the centre of the Ayios Athanasios municipality square. Guests were treated to a copious, mouth-watering assortment of traditional Cyprus meat delicacies and there was not a single empty glass in sight.

More staff events are scheduled throughout the year.
