Limassol – Chelco VAT Director, Panayiotis Iona, will be teaching at the International VAT Association (IVA) University on 18 October 2023 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Iona will present VAT Legislations at the university which is organised annually by IVA as part of its 2023 Autumn Conference.
IVA is the world’s leading non-profit association of Value Added Tax (VAT) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) professionals and some of the world’s top tax experts and VIPs from the European Commission will converge at Villa Copenhagen, the conference’s hotel, to attend.
The University will be held on 18-19 October and will be followed by the Autumn Conference in the afternoon of the 19th and on the 20th. This year’s theme is ‘Smart Tax: Making VAT Artificially Intelligent?’ and an impressive array of speakers from all over the EU, the UK, India, and elsewhere will address it. The conference will also be addressed by officials from the European Commission, the European Court of Justice and the OECD.
Iona is an instructor for the Chelco VAT International Academy and is a regular speaker in seminars and conference in Cyprus and abroad. He has authored or contributed to various articles and other publications in Cyprus and abroad on matters pertaining to Cyprus and EU indirect taxation.
