Nicosia – Chelco VAT international Academy instructor, Panayiotis Panayi, delivered an in-house VAT seminar to Computantis Services Ltd, earlier this week.
Titled, Cyprus VAT Fundamentals, the bespoke full day seminar was held on Monday, 6 June at the Computantis offices in Nicosia and covered the basics of VAT and beyond.
Panayi analysed to the company’s auditors, accountants and tax consultants the various types of taxable transactions, VAT return, the general reverse and local reverse charge principles, deduction of input VAT, intra‐community acquisitions vs EU purchases and VAT on land and rents.
Packed with hands-on, real life examples, the seminar left ample room for questions and answers as well as one-on-one discussions on actual VAT problems and challenges the attendees were faced with.
