Chelco VAT Weight Challenge turns kilos into Euros – Part 2

LimassolThe runner up of this year’s Chelco VAT Weight Challenge, Aristi Zorpa, donated €500 to her favourite cause, the Pancyprian Antileukemia Association (ΖOE).

In the photo, Zorpa presents the donation check to the President of ZOE, Michalis Lytras in the presence of the association’s Clinical Psychologist, Nikoletta Dimioti.

Zorpa, an Administrator with Chelco Management Services, lost a hefty six kilos with Christina Karagiorgi, General Manager of Chelco Management Services, edging her by a single kilo.

The ‘Chelco VAT Weight Challenge – Just for the Health of It!’ campaign kicked off in January with a weigh in of all participating staff of Chelco VAT Ltd and friends who then set out to lose weight. Kilos lost would be converted by Chelco VAT to Euros and then given to the winners to donate to local charities.

However, the total kilos lost were not enough to amass an adequate amount, so Chelco VAT converted the total weight of participants to Euros instead. That number was 1,500 kilos so in addition to Zorpa’s €500 donation, the other €1,000 was donated on behalf of Karagiorgi to the Ithaki Charity Organization.

ZOE is a nonprofit organization, established in 2002 in Nicosia. Its mission is to support patients suffering from leukaemia and other haematological diseases, upgrade diagnostic and treatment services and raise awareness of Cypriot Society in relation to haematological diseases. It also offers psychological and monetary support to relatives of patients with leukaemia.
