Limassol, 26 May 2016 – Leading Cypriot VAT expert, Alexis Tsielepis, has authored the Cyprus chapter of the European VAT Handbook 2016, one of Europe’s most credible and comprehensive guides on Value Added Tax.
The Handbook, which has just been released, provides a detailed insight to VAT in 30 European countries. The respective country information was provided by renowned VAT advisors from all over Europe, many of whom, including Tsielepis, are Partners with the prestigious VAT Forum organisation, an international partnership of select indirect tax specialists.
Tsielepis, Managing Director of Chelco VAT Ltd, the only VAT-dedicated firm in Cyprus, said it was a privilege to work with such high-caliber VAT professionals on the Handbook.
“Personally I consider this the quintessential guide to VAT and I frequently consult it when offering strategic advice on Cyprus and EU VAT structures,” Tsielepis said.
“The book is an essential tool for VAT practitioners who need an easy to follow, yet in depth manual on VAT in their daily work. The book is also widely used by firms and academic institutions for teaching purposes,” he added.
Included in the 560-page Handbook is general VAT information on each country as well as comparative VAT structures between different EU countries. The book also includes indexed Annexes that offer an overview of the VAT rates, VAT registration, distance sales, acquisition thresholds and simplification measures applicable in the various countries.
